Check out Viber’s new World Cup 2014 Sticker Pack! There’s 32 of them!

Viber is indeed executing a pretty well header goal as it embraces the 2014 World Cup with the launch of a wide range of World Cup-inspired stickers.

“The World Cup is an exciting global and national event,” said Michael Shmilov, Viber’s Head of Product. “We believe Viber offers the perfect way for supporters around the world to connect freely with friends to share their laughter, joy, tears and frustration as the intensity of the World Cup increases.”

Imagine the World Cup, but in adorable stickers. How does that sound? Now now, hold on with that expression.

Even though some of these stickers really puts down the actual level of energy and feelings avid supporters have, you can’t deny they are simply irresistible.

Also called Viber Team, the sticker range includes 32 localised sticker packs, each bearing the respective participating countries’ flag and language.  That’s thoughtful of Viber, considering how many of us start to burst out in odd languages while watching a match. No judging!

Many say a picture speaks a thousand words. Well, how timely can that get!

Calling all football fans, should you have trouble expressing your hysteria or disappointments at that final 30 seconds of play, why not try out Viber’s wide range of stickers. You never know how comforting it is to have your feelings brought across accurately to the other party.

If you are not familiar with Viber, it is a provider of mobile messaging, voice and video services. Fresh from a week ago, the company launched their desktop version of messaging, especially allowing users to conveniently search, select, and use stickers in their conversations. Earlier this February, the company was also acquired by Japanese e-commerce giant Rakuten for a reported $900 million dollars.

All that said, I’m really impressed by how Viber is leveraging opportunities such as this World Cup to showcase what they are capable of. On the other, I fear for the mobile devices prospective users of the Viber Team sticker pack are using.

A word of caution, if I may: The missed penalty is not your phone’s or desktop’s fault. Be gentle with them.
