Two weeks ago, we covered the Power Pen, a power bank that can be used as a writing pen and charging device. This week, we are going to introduce you to four extremely fast charging battery packs which claim to charge your phone from 0% to 100% in just 15 minutes.
1. iBattz ASAP Fast Charge
A conventional 5V power bank takes up to an hour to charge an iPhone 6’s 1,810 mAh battery. At this year’s CES 2015 — a global tech show held every January in Las Vegas — iBattz announced a new line of charging devices called ibatz ASAP Fast Charge, so that iPhone 6 users can charge their phone to full from flat in just 15 minutes.
The iBattz ASAP power banks come in two different battery sizes: 5,600 mAh and 11,200 mAh. There is no official statement yet regarding the pricing of the iBattz ASAP charger.
2. Buffalo Voltissimo Battery Pack
Japanese peripheral manufacturer Buffalo has manufactured a rapid charger that can fully juice your phone in 15 minutes. The Voltissimo Battery Pack comes in two battery sizes: an 8,000 mAh battery and 4,000 mAh battery, which are priced at $253 and $190 respectively. The 8,000 mAh battery is able to fully charge an iPhone up to four times, whereas the 4,000 mAh battery can do it twice.
Recharging the 8,000 mAh model’s built-in battery takes about 1 hour and 35 minutes, while the 4,000 mAh battery only requires about 47 minutes.
3. Ultrapak Go Battery Pack
With a capacity of 3,000 mAh, the Ultrapak Go Battery charges your phone to 100% in 15 minutes. According to its official site, the Ultrapak contains a special type of A+ lithium polymer battery that uses proprietary additives. This allows the Go Battery pack to provide up to eight times faster charging speeds compared to conventional USB battery packs.
