It all began when Malaysian Facebook user Scyler Yang took some photos of the Hong Kong train station map, threw in a bunch of really good puns, and uploaded them on his Facebook page.

The Internet raved.

Not to be outwitted, a few creative Singaporeans such as Facebook users Pamela Tham and Joelynn Wong have started their own repository of puns, here and here, based on MRT station names. Pamela dedicates her album — entitled MRT Puns – S’pore edition — to her friends “who have faithfully encouraged [her] pun habit over the years with [their] (-_-) faces.”

This twist of genius has not gone unnoticed by the local community, and the compilations have since made their rounds on the Internet. Both parties have encouraged contributions to their albums, from both friends and the public, adding on to an ever-growing project. Even SGag joined in on the action.

These are some of our favourites. Feel free to add more in the comments section if Eunos any (pun fully intended).
