Everyone knows Nokia. It might have been the first mobile phone you ever owned, or one of the many phones you owned. That is why you might be happy to know that Nokia is coming back into the game. Microsoft’s latest phone, Nokia 130 is aiming to be the next most wanted phone among the low cost market.
Although Nokia 130 does not come with a big touch screen or even the basic features of this day and age, such as camera or wi-fi, but it does integrated with a MP3 player, video playback as well as FM radio. And best news is, the phone is only priced at 19€ (SGD31.50).
Selling at such an affordable price, you can’t expect this phone to run like one of the smartphones in the market. However, Nokia 130 does have a strength – its battery life beats all the smartphones in the current market. Nokia 130 can stay on standby mode for as long as 36 days, which means that you would only need to charge it once a month. This makes Nokia 130 a good spare phone for smartphone users.

A rare video playback feature in Nokia 130 also allows you to watch your favourite movies or dramas. It allow up to 16 hours of video playback on a single charge – way longer than your tablets, right?
The down side? None of us would be willing to spend more than an hour watching our favourite drama series on this little 1.8” screen. Perhaps we should leave movies and dramas for the tablets and keep music videos for this Nokia 130.
Nokia 130 also supports a SD card storage which could hold up to 32 GB. Not only does it allows you to stores all your favourite songs, this phone also comes with up to 46 hours song playback time. So not only can it be your spare phone, the Nokia 130 can also be a good MP3 player to keep you company all the times.
For now, the Nokia 130 will only be available in a few countries in Asia such as China, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam. For those in Malaysia and Singapore, please be patient.
