Editor’s Note:

Hello, readers! Yesterday was Malaysia’s Independence Day and although Google did make a mistake in Malaysia’s birthday, it still didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit. We spoke to the co-directors of the short film Terbang, which is a film specially made by and for MAS about overcoming adversities and #flying high. We also picked out several music videos and short films that are truly 100% Malaysian to celebrate this occasion.

Last week the Vulcan Post team also carried out the Ice Bucket Challenge, as we were challenged by Nuffnang Singapore. It was fun yet meaningful as we wanted to do out part to spread awareness about ALS and contribute to the cause. However, have you heard of another challenge gaining momentum in India called the Rice Bucket Challenge? If you haven’t, this is something really worth checking out!

A lot more has been going on, more exclusive interviews and plenty of news from around Southeast Asia and the world, time to get updated!
