Malaysia Is Among The First To Welcome The Huawei Ascend G7!

Good news for those in Malaysia who have been eyeing Huawei’s new smartphone – Ascend G7. Malaysia will be among one of the first countries to see Ascend G7 in the market after its official launched during the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) in Germany last Thursday.

Although Huawei Ascend G7 is rated as a ‘mid-range’ smartphone, but it does come in a premium design, making it a good alternative for those who can’t afford another newly launched smartphone, Huawei Ascend Mate 7. The stunning looking Ascend G7 is made using the world’s leading Nano Molding Technology, creating a premium metallic unibody design and sleek frame which enhance the texture with a smoother touch.

At 7.6mm slim body, Ascend G7 comes along with a large 5.5 –inch HD screen that combines a digitizer, touch screen and LCD into a single layer. The device is weighed at only 165g.

“In a market flooded with mid-tier smartphones that have a plastic look and feel, Ascend G7 stands out with its beautifully crafted, elegant metallic design,” said Richard Yu, CEO, Huawei Consumer Business Group.

“The vibrant 4G LTE-enabled Ascend G7 has been created for consumers around the world to ‘Make it Possible’ to embrace their individuality and live life their own way,” he added.

This latest addition of Huawei’s Ascend G series run on Qualcomm’s powerful quad-core 1.2 GHz processor and a robust 3000 mAh Li-Polymer battery. It is also featured with Huawei’s power-saving technology which provides three power saving modes – normal, smart and ultra mode. The built-in battery is able to stay for 600 hours on standby mode and 1.2 days of heavy usage. It is also able to operate for an additional 24 hours on 10 per cent battery power.

Malaysia is expected to meet Huawei Ascend G7 by end of October. Rumors have it that the selling price for Ascend G7 might be lower than its launching price, 299€ (about RM1,240).
