One of the biggest storm recorded, the Haiyan typhoon, has devastated the Philippines nation. Everyone around the world is talking about it, and global organizations are offering relief to Typhoon Haiyan survivors.

Here’s a handy list of these organizations if you are interested to help out.

The United Nation Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Efforts have publicly appealed for donations of US$301 million to help the Philippines.

Here’s the list of who’s giving to the Philippines relief effort.

The chart below includes both payments, transfer of goods (like aid flights and temporary shelters), and contractual commitments. Non-binding pledges, like the $1.9 million announced by China, are not included in this analysis.

Surprisingly, Singapore is one of the country with the least donation to the Philippines Relief fund.

In the Wealth Report 2012 published by Knight Frank and Citi Private Bank, Singapore was the richest in the world in 2010, and is also expected to continue to be the global leader in 2050.

One would think that Singapore, as one of the richest nation in the world, would be more generous in terms of donations.

Well maybe that’s why Singapore is one of the richest nation.
