This Wefie At The Tip Of KL Tower Deserves The ‘Wefie Of The Year’ Award

The Kuala Lumpur Tower might have been originally constructed in 1995 for communication purposes, but now as the 7th tallest freestanding tower in the world (1,381 feet), the KL Tower is also one of the main attractions in the KL city for both locals and tourists from all over the world.

Many would love to see what it’s like looking down at the city from the top of the tower, thus people flock to the observation deck which is at a height of 276 metres above ground level, or to Atmosphere 360, a revolving restaurant at 282 metres above ground level.

However, very few would be able to know what it feels or looks like to be right at the very tip of the KL Tower itself, but these people do.

Now before you grab your selfie stick and start calling up your besties to climb to the tip of KL Tower with you, do note that these were done by professionals — not professional stuntmen, but professional high rise cleaners!

The people in this epic wefie (Mohd Ashraf Fakhruddin, Adam Tun Tuah, Ayen Mahidin, Shahrul Rizam, and Saleh Mokhtar) are a professional crew from Ropequest Sdn. Bhd. who provide cleaning and maintenance services for high rise buildings or spaces that are areas that are difficult to be accessed.

And clearly because a wefie wasn’t epic enough, they also recorded a video that gives a 360 degree view of their nauseatingly high position. If you are afraid of heights, this video might make you feel queasy!

Now we know (or at least we have a better idea) of what the view looks like from 421 metres off the ground! Here’s another video of them saying hi (and taunting KLCC, haha)!

These real life Spidermen put themselves at risk to clean and maintain our buildings, and for that, we send them our thanks and gratitude!
