MyTeksi Offers A Helping Hand To Help Relieve MAS Of Its Uncertain Future

Many companies came forward to help the thousands of staff  that will terminated by Malaysian Airlines (MAS) within the next couple of days.

MyTeksi, also known as GrabTaxi posted a picture of a hand reaching out to another hand with the MAS’ trademark blue and green batik prints, on their Facebook page with the title, “Times are A-Changing: Join Us As We Weather It Together”.

Along with a caption:

“Dear friends at Malaysia Airlines, during this period of uncertainty, MyTeksi would like to help out a fellow Malaysian-born brand.

“As a small gesture, we would like to invite you to join our ever expanding family. We are hiring across the board for sales, customer service, marketing and logistic roles.”

The post also comes with a Google form that allows interested applicants to  provide them with their names, contact details, and the option to select their desired area of work.

Facebookers Praise MyTeksi For Offering New Opportunities to MAS Staff

Needless to say, MyTeksi’s genuine gesture has received much appreciation from  social media. Till date, the post has garnered over 1,500 likes and is has been shared over 500 times on Facebook.

“Well done guys. Fantastic spirit of camaraderie. Class act!” said Christopher Kim.

Some Facebook users were also supportive of MyTeksi when addressing their kind act.

“Such nice gesture of MyTeksi. You can rest assured that I will continue to take rides with you guys,” Serina Hor wrote.

All in all, it’s undeniably sad to see over 8,000 MAS employees loose their jobs over the next 5 days.

Regardless, it’s good to see companies offering jobs specifically to the terminated staff of Malaysian Airlines.
