McDonald’s advises staff not to eat fast food; hypocrite much?

McDonald’s, one of the world’s leading fast food chain serving delicious burgers to you, has recently recommended its own employees to avoid burgers and fries whenever possible due to health risks.

According to RT, McDonald’s issued the advice to its employees through its internal employee site McResource.

“Fast foods are quick, reasonably priced, and readily available alternatives to home cooking. While convenient and economical for a busy lifestyle, fast foods are typically high in calories, fat, saturated fat, sugar, and salt and may put people at risk of becoming overweight,” the site said.

Employees of McDonalds may wonder how they can select an alternative restaurant when they have little time for breaks and receive deep discounts at their fast food restaurant. McResource recommends that if employees are eating fast food, he or she can replace the french fries with a salad and ask for a single patty burger without the extra cheese and sauces. Employees are also suggested to ask for extra lettuce and tomatoes.

McDonald’s currently employs some 700,000 people worldwide.

Is it me, or is McDonald’s not lovin’ its own food?
