Punllution Standards Index: The Singapore PSI Reader That Haze Us Laughing

With the recent campaign to thank Indonesia for all the fresh air we get for 11 months in a year, it seems that Singaporeans have been tackling the haze situation with a little tongue-in-cheek. With the haze situation more or less under control, there’s been a lot less complaints on our end as well — which leaves us a lot of time for some humour.

The jokey jokesters behind Punllution Standards Index deliver the PSI reading, as well as a pun. They have promised on their site that, “The worse the air, the worse our puns.” We’ve got a few standard ones up on the site already to accompany the PSI readings; check them out:

Honestly, we’re a bit disappointed that this came out so late just as the haze is subsiding, as how it works is: every time the air quality changes, you get a new lame pun with your PSI reading. Ah well, next year perhaps! But for now, the team needs help in populating that pun bank, so get on it and don’t haze-itate to contribute to this cause.

Till we meet again in 2016 toxic haze, Haze-ta La Vista.
