Facebook has announced that Instant Articles, their latest news feature, is now live on Android. The beta launch first went live earlier this month on iOS, with over 350 live partners across the world. This includes The Straits Times, the only Singapore-based publication to be using Instant Articles.
Instant Articles basically launches news pieces on a new platform that loads 10 times faster than the usual webpage. These quick-to-load stories will make it easier for a wider audience to access news, especially in developing countries where slow Internet access is still the norm. India, for example, has 25 publishers on board now.
