Shortly after we wrote about the secrets behind single ladies’ minds, thanks to some findings by LunchClick, online shopping site Rakuten also came out with some findings of their own.

In a regional survey on more than 2,500 men and women aged 20 to 60, Rakuten asked the participants some questions pertaining to their jealousy as well as the meaning of Valentine’s day to them.

Here are some interesting findings from the infographic:

  • 39% of the male respondents will not feel jealous if their partner received a Valentine’s present from the ex, as compared to 24% of the female respondents.
  • 8% of the female respondents will make their boyfriends throw away the Valentine’s present from the ex.
  • Almost one in two of the respondents confessed to not telling their partners if they do receive a Valentine’s Day gift from their ex.
  • 2 in 5 (42%) of the Singaporean respondents wants a holiday as a present.
