PM Lee Is In SF Now, And He Rode On Tesla’s Model S P90D And Google’s Self-Driving Car!

Most of you might have heard this, Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is currently on a working trip at San Francisco.

As part of the visit to San Francisco, PM will be meeting:

  1. Governor of California Jerry Brown
  2. Tesla CEO and SpaceX CEO/CTO Elon Musk
  3. Apple CEO Tim Cook
  4. Alphabet Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt
  5. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg
  6. Singaporeans residing in the San Francisco Bay Area

In a recently updated Facebook post, here’s what PM Lee did:

PM Lee also took a ride in the Tesla Model S P90D, and also got a spin in Google’s self-driving car. He also visited Singaporeans working at Google and talked about how Singapore must make engineering more attractive as a career.

Here’s a look at Tesla’s Model S P90D, which is not available in the market yet.

Will we be seeing these on our roads soon?

Google on the other hand, has been experimenting with driverless car for the longest time, and in an earlier report this week, U.S. vehicle safety regulators have announced that the artificial intelligence system piloting a self-driving Google car could be considered the driver under federal law, a major step toward ultimately winning approval for autonomous vehicles on the roads.
