Last August, Sim Lim Square announced its first foray into e-commerce as it partners Shopee to brings its products online.

With the new partnership, Sim Lim Square shoppers can browse the wide array of tech gadgets the mall has to offer from the comfort of their own homes, or while they’re on-the-go.

Sim Lim Square carries a full spectrum of offerings ranging from computers and peripherals, such as laptops and hard drives, to nifty gadgets like camera drones and wearable mobile technology.

“As Singapore’s last-standing digital mall, we must constantly evolve to meet the needs and demands of our digital-savvy customers,” said, Sean Chia, Head of Advertising & Promotions at Sim Lim Square.

“With our new e-commerce website, we are proud to be at the forefront of IT retail. Our tenants are now empowered to have full ownership of their e-commerce businesses, and we will continue to play a part in growing their presence”.

The website is currently in its final phase of testing and will be officially launched on 1 July 2019.

In other news, Sim Lim Square owners have agreed in March 2019 to put the 32-year-old mall up for sale at S$1.3 billion.

According to the owners, the footfall traffic for Sim Lim Square has fallen, despite the opening of Downtown Line’s Rochor MRT station beside it.

Regardless, Sim Lim Square’s sales committee head Vikas Gupta expects to see a strong interest from developers for the collective sale based on its strategic location.
