It’s been a tumultuous few weeks for Huawei and their fans — the future of their entire product line was plunged into uncertainty when US President Donald Trump placed the Chinese tech giant on an “entity list”, only to reverse the decision at the G20 Summit last week.

And now that the situation has more or less stabilised, the company wants to thank the ones who’ve stuck by them in what could be the most Singaporean way ever: by giving them free bubble tea.

Yup, you heard us right — Huawei has partnered up with homegrown tea brand Partea to give anyone with a Huawei phone a free drink.

All have to do is show your phone at the counter, sign up for a Partea membership if you haven’t already (don’t worry, it’s free), and you can redeem anything on their menu completely free of charge.

The promotion applies to all Huawei phones, so it doesn’t matter if you own a Mate 10 or the latest P30 Pro.

The giveaway will take place across two weekends from 11am to 2pm — the 5th to 7th of July (that’s tomorrow, btw), and 12th to 14th of July.

The promotion will not be available at their Orchard Plaza outlet, and the OUE Downtown and Gallery Clifford Centre will only be running the promotion on Fridays as well.

For your convenience, here’s where you can get your free cuppa boba:

– Century Square
Changi Airport Terminal 4
– Suntec City Tower 2
– Waterway Point
– OUE Downtown Gallery (only on Fridays)
– Clifford Centre (only on Fridays)

While no one’s stopping you from going on an island-wide bubble tea trail, do note that each participating outlet will only be giving away 300 drinks each day. Guess you won’t be sleeping in this weekend.
