Coming Soon? The Google Pixel 4 Might Launch On Oct 15

If you’ve been in the market for a new smartphone, now might be the best time in 2019 to pull the trigger — Apple announced the iPhone 11 last week, and Huawei is poised to unveil their Mate 30 series in two days too.

And if you’re a fan of Google’s Pixel phones, it looks like you won’t have to wait much longer for your turn, either. The American tech giant sent out invitations for an event in New York City happening on the 15th of October yesterday, which more than likely means that the Pixel 4 will be revealed and released next month.

While Google hasn’t officially said that they’ll unveil the Pixel 4 at the event, past release patterns strongly point towards that. The Pixel 3 was announced on the 9th of October — a Tuesday — last year, and the 15th happens to fall on…yup, you guessed it, a Tuesday.

Sounds a little crazy, we know, but that conspiracy-ish theory worked with Apple, after all.

Besides, Google hasn’t been particularly secretive about their newest flagship — back in June they tweeted a picture of the back of the phone, and a month later posted a video showcasing its face unlock and motion gesture features. With countless leaked images making their rounds on the Internet, now would be as good a time as any to finally go public.

We’ll have to wait a month to see how it fares against the competition, but considering that the Pixel is one of our favourite Android phones (we can’t get enough of that sweet, sweet stock Android), we’ve got high hopes for this one.
