British electronics firm Dyson is ramping up its hiring efforts in Singapore.
Most recently, Dyson shared that it’s hiring over 2,000 people across Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines over the next four years.
Today, it is reported that billionaire founder of the firm, James Dyson, has incorporated his family office in Singapore — Weybourne Services Singapore Pte — on January 31.
Singapore has proven to be an attractive base for family offices because of its political stability, its connection to global markets, and range of tax incentives.
Established in 2013, Weybourne Group Ltd is the holding company of the main operating business. It manages a diverse range of other investment and provides financial and other professional support services to the family, their estates, and wider business interests.
The Group currently employs around 55 people globally and is now hiring IT and financial services staff in Singapore.
One of the available job positions is a treasury analyst role, who will help to manage the cash and funding requirements of the Group while dealing with foreign-currency transactions.
James Dyson Is Second Richest In UK
In October last year, British electronics company Dyson announced that it is building its first car manufacturing plant in Singapore.
Then earlier in January this year, Dyson said it is moving its corporate head office to Singapore.
Following its increased business presence in Singapore, James Dyson has bought two properties here. One of which is Singapore’s biggest penthouse at $73.8 million, and a bungalow facing Botanic Gardens that is speculated to cost over $41 million.
James Dyson now has a net worth of US$11.9 billion, making him the second richest person in the United Kingdom.
