Last November, Circles.Life launched a global campaign called ‘Telco Freedom Fund Campaign’ to bail people out of their mobile contracts.
It has created a crowdfunding page via GoGetFunding to raise S$1 million, kicking it off with a personal S$50,000 donation.
The campaign is currently only 1% funded — with 25 backers raising S$17,666. S$32,500 was raised offline, bringing it to a total of S$50,166.

Following up to the campaign, Circles.Life will be holding a “cash giveaway” from its S$1 million termination fee fund on 21 January (Tuesday) at Cineleisure Orchard.
According to the telco, it will be giving away “cold, hard cash” to help “liberate” others from mobile contracts so they can give them the telco freedom they deserve.
“Tell us the termination fees amount you need to pay under your existing telco and provide us with any supporting documents (ie. telco contract, the latest bill for the month, a screenshot of chat with telco’s customer service showing termination fees),” stated Circles.Life on its website.
“We’ll (then) pay your termination fee amount in cash.”
The payout will be on a first-come, first-served basis and subjected to the amount raised to date in the termination fee fund.
Circles.Life stressed that there is no obligation to switch to Circles.Life after termination.
