In a bid to encourage more seniors to adopt digital services, leading telecom operator M1 has collaborated with Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to curate two new plans.

Called the Seniors Go Digital and Mobile Access for Seniors mobile plans, they are part of the efforts to support the seniors and encourage them to take up digital services.

They fall under the Seniors Go Digital programme launched by IMDA which aims to ensure that Singapore’s silver generation receives the necessary assistance to make the digital leap through subsidised resources and a guided learning journey.

What Benefits Do Seniors Enjoy?

The Seniors Go Digital mobile plan is accessible to all seniors in Singapore aged 60 and above, offering additional mobile benefits over and above the existing M1 Plan with Device and SIM-only Plan.

Under this plan, Plan with Device and SIM-only users enjoy 25 per cent off monthly subscription prices and complimentary 3-month access to the streaming services Viu Premium and TVBAnywhere+.

Plan with Device users also get a complimentary 3-month FoneCare+ subscription in addition to the above, which offers device care service providing seniors a peace of mind.

The Mobile Access for Seniors plan is targeted at low-income seniors aged 60 years and above and are identified by IMDA as needing support for digital access.

Priced at S$5 per month, the plan offers 6GB data, 100 mins of outgoing calls and 20 SMS, bundled with other services including Caller ID, Data Usage Alert, Mobile Guard and so on.
