Explore the best Singapore food with Coconuts Singapore and UberX

This April, local city website network Coconuts Singapore, is partnering with on demand private chauffeur service UberX for a month long campaign called Coconuts Singapore Flavour Tour. The campaign will help Singaporean foodies explore some of the most exceptional places to eat in the Lion City.

The tour will be split into four segments, each paired to a unique foodie profile. In the first segment, Your First Taste of Singapore, Coconuts Singapore will be introducing visitors and new residents to the city’s most iconic dishes and the best places to try them. For those who want to explore the recommended profiles, you can simply get a private chauffeur from uberX and enjoy a free ride if you are a new Uber user (with the code “COCOSG”).

Earlier last month, we reported that the luxury private chauffeur app is testing its affordable UberX in Singapore.

Founded in 2009 in the United States, Uber provides on demand private driver to anyone. Need a private driver now? Simply launch the Uber app, select your pick up location, and a classy luxurious car will be on its way to pick you up. You can also track where the driver is so that you are kept in the loop on his location.

UberX is the cheaper version of Uber for those whom are looking for a more affordable option, without compromising the quality and experience Uber promised to its users. The difference is that instead of a black Mercedes S Class rolling up, with UberX, you will now see a Toyota Corolla or Camry curbside. And of course, when you’re finished with your UberX ride, the fare will be substantially lesser than what you would pay for.

Subsequent segments of the Coconuts Singapore Flavour Tour are the “All Star Access” segment which features Michelin Star chefs, the “This Just In” segment for folks that always need to be first to know about the latest happenings, as well as the “Singapore Shiok!” segment, which showcases food and drink that’s been grown and produced on Singapore.

The first Coconuts Singapore Flavour Tour presented by uberX story kicks off this Friday, April 4. All details can be found on the Coconuts Singapore site.
