Plants vs Zombies releases small mini game as it celebrates 5th birthday!

If there’s a game that most of the gen-y might have heard of, that would be Plant vs Zombies. The desktop and mobile game has recently turned 5!

Earlier in August last year, Plant vs Zombies launched a refreshed version 2 to its fans, and within weeks, the Plant vs Zombies 2 mobile app was downloaded over 25 million times globally.

EA explains:

“The Zombies have come! Plants vs. Zombies 2 has smashed records and been downloaded nearly 25 million times by players around the globe. It really was about time – downloads for Plants vs. Zombies 2 have exceeded total lifetime downloads for Plants vs. Zombies, the original favorite from 2010. Our fans have been loving the new sequel, with an App Store rating that has continuously hovered at 4.5/5 stars.”

Fast forward to March 2014, the global gaming brand owned by EA was downloaded over 150 million times worldwide, a phenomenal growth showing that while the game has been around for 5 years, it still has the mass public appeal.

To celebrate its 5th birthday, Plants vs Zombies released a mini game update where players will be able to battle Zombies dressed in party outfit.

Pretty fun? You should definitely give it a shot!

On behalf of the Vulcan Post team, we would love to wish Plants vs Zombies a happy 5th birthday!
