A year ago, a video featuring British-born philosopher, writer, and speaker Alan Watts’ thoughts and philosophy of money and life was made and released to the internet. The three minute video, titled “What if Money didn’t matter” went viral thanks to social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.
1 year later today, the video reached 153,935 likes and 405,624 shares on Facebook alone (at the point of writing). This is not taking into consideration the video’s reach through YouTube or Twitter, as well as other networks.
Without social networks, the reach of the video would have been hard to be amplified to the extent it had.
Here’s the video if you have not watched it yet:
“Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing, than a long life spent in a miserable way.
“What we’re doing is we’re bringing up children, educating them, to live the same sort of lives we’re living, in order that they may justify themselves and find satisfaction in life by bringing up their children, to bring up their children to do the same things, so it’s all retch and no vomit. It never gets there.
“Therefore it’s so important to consider this question. What do I desire?enablejsapi=1&html5=1&”
