Years ago, I made a trip to Bangkok with my family. We trawled the usual shopping destinations and eateries, and I left feeling somewhat dissatisfied — surely there was more to the city than just those? I later found out where I should have gone: Siriraj Medical Museum, which is also known as the Musuem of Death (morbid, I know).

It’s not uncommon for us to miss out on certain destinations and delicacies while we’re on holiday. There’s so much to do and see, and it’s only natural for us to forget about one place — or have to give up on some local dishes because of the demands of our travelling partners. But Tigerair wants to fix this, and their method couldn’t be better.

Knowing that most of us aren’t likely to revisit a city simply because of a single missed attraction, Tigerair is offering to take us back — with a year’s worth of free flights. The free flights will come in the form of 12 flight e-vouchers, and can be redeemed once each month from the date of issue.

The best part? There are three prizes up for grabs.

To be eligible for the prizes, all you have to do is complete the following steps:

  1. Come up with an “I Should Have” story of your own. The story should consist of photos and videos, as well as your reasons for wanting to go back.
  2. Upload the story and photos/video here. Categorise your story according to why you want to make a trip there, or what you missed out on.
  3. If your story has been successfully submitted, it will appear here.

The announcement of the winners will be made between 3rd and 9th August; do note that each participant will only be allowed to submit one story. For more information on the contest, go here.

Now all that’s left to do is make sure you have enough days of leave to go on all those holidays you’ll be getting.
