Page Pink – A Singapore Girl’s Guide To Real Pampering!

Girls, have I got a treat for you.

A new startup has sprung up in Singapore, determined to provide us with everything we need to pamper ourselves. Page Pink, set up by ex-ebay employees, is an online directory for several beauty and wellness service providers across the island. The appeal, however, is not in its large database of beauty outlets or its easy-to-use interface, but that it really understands what girls want.

When you first arrive at the Page Pink website, you are greeted with a simple search bar. Any girl would know that when you are inspired with a beauty need, the need is immediate. This search bar makes finding the best places to get that perfect gelish manicure or hair treatment much quicker, even narrowing it down to the location and price. This search bar certain trumps blindly googling salons without direction.

If you are in need for a real pick-me-up, the wellness section has a vast selection of gyms and service providers for all work-out styles, from pilates to boot camp to even physiotherapist-supported gyms for those who need special care. We need our variety, and with Page Pink, we can work our butts off in as many different ways as we want and even get a well-earned massage after.

The icing on the cake is Pink’s Scoop, their cunning editorial page that will fuel our beauty inspirations.

While thinking about our next hairstyle, they stun our senses with Taylor Swift’s history of gorgeous hairstyles, while also showing us the latest nail trends, what amazing facials can do for our skin, and even showing us the benefits of anti-gravity yoga! Their Browse Photos option is like a pinterest full of beauty and fitness inspirations, making it almost impossible to remember why you came to this page in the first place. It is extremely infuriating and enticing all at the same time.

Page Pink is still in its early stages, and while the page is currently interesting at best, the real strength will have to come from their crowd-reviewed list that is still in need of a crowd and their reviews.

According to the About Us page, “This is not just ‘About Us’. We really want to make this place ‘About You’.”

While the chosen name for their aspiring community (Pinkers) is questionable, their mission is admirable. The more people speak up and participate in this crowd-reviewed community site, the stronger this tool becomes.

The potential for growth is great, and I for one am hoping for the best.
