PropSocial Helps You Find Your Dream Home Based On The Neighbourhood You Actually Want

I remember the trouble I had to go through when I was trying to find a house to rent, I had to check out random websites that were unfriendly and irrelevant at times, I had to call up random people to enquire about their listings and I had to mostly rely on friends with the hope that they would point me in the right direction.

I had to go through a lot of hoops to eventually find a house that I do like, and to this day, I hate the process that I had to go through.

PropSocial hopes to solve the exact issue of people running around in chaos when looking for property. While it isn’t quite the first property portal in Malaysia, it is certainly the first crowdsourcing property platform that features honest reviews direct from the community and that values quality over quantity.

The aim of PropSocial is to offer the ultimate in property services to users from all walks of lives, such as property buyers, home renters, investors, owners, property agents and developers – before, during and after the process of buying and selling a property.

What Can I Do On PropSocial?

The simple answer is a lot! You can search, review neighbourhoods and properties, find credible agents, discuss topics of relevance with the community, and you could even choose to get periodic updates from agents or neighbourhoods that you’re interested in.

While there’s a lot that you can do on the site, I feel that any given property portal should provide you with a great search functionality because people primarily use property portals to look for places that they might be interested in. It doesn’t make sense to me if you run a property portal that is unable to provide personalised results to your users.

Fortunately, PropSocial does!

When searching for houses in a particular neighbourhood on other sites, most of the time, the site displays all of the curated results related to that particular keyword and you’re left to filter the results, as you like. The whole process of narrowing down the search results to find something that might interest you is a tedious process.

For example, when looking for a house to rent, say on iproperty.com, the standard procedure is that you enter the neighbourhood that you’re interested in and then it spews out a list full of related properties. You’re not provided with any relevant information about the neighbourhood and you only have to rely on your intuition to find something interesting.

On the other hand, PropSocial provides you with a collection of more resourceful tools in helping you find what you’re looking for. You can enter the neighbourhood and you get to select the different types of properties you’re looking for like condos, townhouses, apartments, or a duplex, among others and you can even choose to sort your search based on either quietness, cleanliness, safety and traffic.

Neighbourhood-Centric Search Results

Once you’ve selected what you want and click enter, you’re provided with a whole lot of information related to that particular neighbourhood, all displayed in a clear and simple way. You provided with information such as the number of convenience stores, shopping malls, supermarkets, petrol stations, etc., and the major ethnic group living in that area (if that’s something that’s of interest).

You even have the option of checking for agents in that area and there’s also a description, reviews and a scale that quantifies the neighbourhood based on accessibility, traffic, safety and convenience.

If you’re interested in a particular search result, you’re provided with enough information for it to help you make an informed decision, and if you’re interested, you can get in contact with the agent.

Quality Over Quantity

PropSocial does a great job in providing all of the necessary information related to a particular neighbourhood, agents and the properties. It’s not just a matter of looking for the cheapest option and then checking out the reviews on Google, there’s more to it.

PropSocial may not have thousands upon thousands of listings, but from those that are listed, you can quality information which is dependable. You get to explore the neighbourhoods, compare and contrast different options based on your needs and you’re provided with useful, unbiased and honest comments from other users before making an informed decision.

Frankly, for a property site, I don’t think I could ask for more!
