LINE Turns 4: 4 Things You May Not Know About This Leading Mobile Messaging App

LINE, one of the world’s leading mobile messaging platform, announced that the service has celebrated its fourth anniversary on June 23, 2015.

One thing LINE is famous for is their vivid stickers and emojis. Check out their anniversary video below.

To celebrate this occasion, they have released four special limited edition wallpapers for smartphones users to download. All you have to do is simply add the LINE’s official account and you can their special wallpapers featuring their characters, including Brown, Cony, and more.

According to LINE’s official statement, the maximum number of stickers and emojis sent and received via LINE per day is marked at 2.4 billion, while LINE provides up to 140,000 sticker sets and 6,830 emojis. Compared to other messaging applications such as WhatsApp and WeChat, LINE has the largest range and collection of stickers.

In conjunction to LINE’s 4th anniversary, we decided to share with our readers 4 things you might not have known about LINE.

1. The author of LINE characters is a Korean designer named B. Kang, this is his personal blog in Korean.

2. Although LINE was made by South Korea’s Naver Corp, the app actually was founded in Japan on September 4, 2000.

3. LINE first came to Malaysia in 2013 and Choi Siwon from Super Junior, a South Korean boy band, dazzled as the first brand ambassador of the LINE app.
