Details are everything when it comes to a marriage proposal. The best proposals are personalized and are usually incorporated with something that is special and meaningful to the potential fiancé. Mr. Alex Wee, 32, knows this well enough and he’s got everybody crooning over his marriage proposal to Ms. Cheryl Foo, 29.

The lovely couple frequently used the messaging app, LINE to communicate with one another when they were dating; thus inspiring him to use Brown, the popular bear mascot of LINE, to propose to his sweetheart. LINE is one of Japan’s largest social network and has up to 300 million registrants worlwide as of 25 November 2013.

Mr. Wee disguised himself by wearing a mascot outfit of Brown and surprised Ms. Foo when she was lining up with her sister at the LINE pop-up store at Wisma Atria. He showed up holding a huge marriage proposal card and got down on bended knee.

LINE launched its first Pop-Up store in Singapore earlier this month. Besides an extensive array of official LINE merchandise available at the Pop-up Store, larger-than-life Brown and Cony character mascots will appear at the store every Friday to Sunday for photo-taking opportunities. In-store activities include a roulette game where shoppers will win LINE merchandise.
