Here’s 9 Long Weekend Holidays In 2016 That You Should Start Planning For

If you wanted to travel and explore the world around you this year but couldn’t, you don’t have to be disheartened, there’s always next year—and all the long weekends that come with it.

Here is the list of 9 long weekends (30 days of vacation) that you should look forward to next year:

1. Chinese New Year

Dates: February 6 to 9 (Saturday to Tuesday)

2. Labour Day

Dates: April 30 to May 2 (Saturday to Monday)

3. Hari Raya Pussa

Dates: July 6 to 7 (Wednesday to Thursday)

While this isn’t an official long weekend, you could call in sick on Friday and get yourself an extra 3 days all to yourself. We are not condoning this though, you make the call!

If this year has been stressful, you can always make up for it with some proper early planning so that you can enjoy all of next year’s 9 long weekends. For the workaholics who don’t like taking extra days off work, it’s good to note that next year’s long weekends will not affect the number of working days—you will still be working for 251 days of the year.
