Vulcan Post Presents Singapore’s First Ever Digital Publishers Summit!

In Singapore’s closely monitored media landscape, online news and culture sites have, in recent years, trodden a fine line when it comes to bringing content to the average reader. From the trivial to the cutting edge, Singaporeans now have a large selection of online resources when it comes to reading material. Many publishers will have you know that it hasn’t been easy working their way around the various rules and regulations governing our online space, but with the growing number of digital publications locally, there’s no doubt that the scene is only going to get more vibrant.

The Singapore Digital Publishers Summit is Singapore’s premier online publishers’ and industry meetup happening on the 28th of September at Novotel Singapore, Clarke Quay. Presented by Vulcan Post, and in partnership with the Online News Association (ONA), the full-day conference will feature representatives from various Singaporean online publishers, who have attracted over 50 million page views combined.

The Summit will feature a series of conversations and panels by industry experts and journalism pundits, including representatives from Yahoo! Singapore, The Smart Local, The Online Citizen, The Middle Ground, and more. A range of issues will be up for discussion: how the role of the newsroom has changed, the growth of bloggers and influencers, niche news sites, the role of video — it’s all gonna be thrown on the table.

Both seasoned publishers as well as young media companies can learn a lot from each other, and we think this summit will be a great opportunity for Singapore’s key online publishers to share their knowledge, and provide a networking platform for the new media community to grow.

The news industry is something that involves everyone, so we’d like to see all you publishers, journalists, PR executives, digital strategists, business development directors, as well as small and large businesses alike at the event. And if you are a great reader of news and trends, or would like more insight to the news landscape in Singapore — you’re welcome too!
