If you’ve ever wanted to know exactly what Najib Tun Razak is doing or thinking at a particular time of the day but you don’t have the time to trawl through and constantly refresh all his social media accounts, now there’s an app for it. Today, the Google Play Store and the Apple iOS store got a brand new app featuring our very own Prime Minister.
The app was developed by Resonate Digital Sdn Bhd, and this appears to be their first offering on both the iOS and Google Play stores.
Once you’ve downloaded and installed it, you can load it up to check it out, after giving Najib Razak access to your photos, media and files on your device. I mean the app of course, not the actual person.
One of the key features of this app is being able to see all the PM’s social media accounts in one convenient place. If he has a social media account on whatever platform, it’ll be featured here and so far, seems very up-to-date.
We have to say, if you’ve ever wanted to know what’s on the PM’s mind, this is the best place to find it. Also, his flickr account does seem to have even more photos that aren’t on his other social media platforms, so that’s great for people who really can’t get enough of our PM.
There’s even a tab where you can check out our PM’s history and track record, in case you want to know how far he’s come and what he done over the years. Having photos of him from the time he started out is a nice touch.
You can also find a 1Malaysia section and a #Bajet2017 section for new updates on those initiatives. We were quite excited about the ‘Watch Live’ section, but it turns out that the content is not available in our country. Tough luck.
The app purports that we can share our thoughts and interact with the Prime Minister, but we haven’t been able to find that yet. Perhaps it’ll appear when the app gets updated.
If you want to give the developers feedback on the app, they’ve thoughtfully included a Help & Feedback section where you can report issues, and add photos/videos and provide your comments. We’re unsure if this is the actual section where you’re going to be able to contact our PM.
There is also a profile setup section where you can enter your name, email address, phone number and address. However, you don’t need to fill this up to use the app, or so it appears thus far.
We’ve found that the app is occasionally slow to load, and we’ve narrowed it down to:
a) Our Internet connection
b) The app itself
c) Maybe too many people are on it and eagerly trying it out?
There have been reports of the app crashing, and it’s even happened to one of the writers in our office. That’s going to be something they’ll have to fix in future updates.
