Our 2 Favourite Airlines Are Now on ShopBack, Here’s How To Save The Next Time You Fly

Recently we’ve been seeing plenty of articles on how families have paid for their air flights entirely through air miles, or how backpacking has never been easier and cheaper.

Just reading about their stories is enough to turn anyone green. But yet we aren’t doing anything to address our persisting case of travel envy, citing reasons of no time, no money etc etc.

Well, 2017 is the year to change all that.

According to Straits Times, there are officially 7 long weekends in 2017, but with good planning it’s possible to make that 10. Unfortunately, one of them is already over (New Year’s Day), but that still leave 9 more to go. That’s plenty of time to jet off for short getaways, even if they are only within the SEA region.

In a week’s time the long Chinese New Year weekend is set to debut, and if you’re looking to travel, ShopBack has just made it even easier for you.

Earlier today, ShopBack announced that it had officially partnered up with Singapore Airline and Scoot. Travellers can now enjoy 1.0% Cashback for flight tickets purchased from the SIA x VISA as well as Scoot site. Both airlines are also available on the ShopBack mobile app, both iOS and Google Play.

Previously, ShopBack had already on-boarded Emirates and Qatar Airways, and with the recent addition of SIA, their suite of the top 3 world-class airlines has now come full circle.

Luxury travel aside, their collaboration with Scoot, who was also named Best Low Cost Airline (Asia Pacific) by AirlineRatings.com provides flyers with even more flexibility in flight options.

In their Travel category, they already feature a number of saucy deals with travel agencies, ranging from car booking services to accommodation booking sites.

Global connectivity has never been better, and with their recent additions, ShopBack is positioning itself to be a well-rounded one-stop destination in the DIY travel scene.

According to ShopBack’s Head of Merchants and Partnerships, Joel Leong, it might sound impossible for a 2-year-old startup to be able to work together with long established aviation partners.

However, “with the belief that [they could] overcome disparity in company age and size with concrete data-backed results, [the] team pursued the golden ticket relentlessly and pushed boundaries to seal the deal for consumers.”

I don’t know about you, but considering that SIA already gives me Krisflyer miles, ShopBack bringing them onboard (haha) just sounds like the sound of luggage wheels to me.

Congratulations to the ShopBack Team!
