Since Singapore reported its first case of Covid-19 on 23 January 2020, the disease has come to change the lives of Singaporeans very drastically.

People’s normal routines – working in the office, eating out,  gathering in large groups – were changed. A new normal of remote working and social distancing emerged.

The pandemic also accelerated the adoption of technology such as e-commerce, video conferencing and telemedicine as a way of life.

However, while some industries have boomed, others are in peril. Though the pandemic is indeed a devastating event for businesses, it is not a death sentence.

In some situations, businesses have been quick to pivot, which brought about even more growth than before.
