At the event last year, Arlene Amarante, Country Ambassador and Sales Director of Yahoo! Philippines commented that “Technostorm is a celebration of all things tech. Yahoo’s digital capabilities provide a unique platform for Filipinos to explore, discover and understand the world of technology, and bring them face-to-face with gadgets and devices that create connectivity.” She also adds, “At Yahoo!, we are always looking for creative ways to connect people with what matters most and are committed to bring inspiring and entertaining experiences to our users.”

While you can check out the latest gadgets from your favorite tech company, there will also be talks and workshops in the event that you can also attend:

A Tech Event With a Cause

The event, however, won’t just be about showcasing the latest in smartphones, tablets, laptops and other gadgets. It will also be an event to gather more financial and in kind support for the survivors of the Typhoon Haiyan (locally known as Yolanda), said to be the biggest storm to hit this side of the world.

If you are attending the event, it will be helpful if you can also bring donations for the victims. Yahoo! said in an article that they will make sure that your donations will definitely go to the survivors, and not in the wrong hands.

Local tech companies such as Smart Telecom and Globe also had a strong presence during the event.  Some of the brands who attended the even also gave talk.
