The largest accelerator programme in Southeast Asia returned with its 3rd edition, earlier this week. The MaGIC Accelerator Programme has seen past successes in its previous 2 cohorts, and this edition saw them receiving a total of 824 applications from 30 countries but only 75 were shortlisted.

The accelerator programme is currently being held for a duration of 4 months and will run in 2 different streams: the ASEAN Track and the Social Entrepreneurship (SE) Track. MAP is a favourite due to its structured curriculum which focuses on local and regional markets, while also being backed by a large pool of mentors and coaches at the same time.

Chief Executive Officer of MaGIC, Ashran Dato’ Ghazi, said, “Following the success of Cohort 2 at the Demo Day earlier this month we’re excited to welcome the third cohort into MAP.  That the programme continues to be so popular both here in Malaysia and overseas is testament to the efforts that the team dedicate to supporting participants as they move to the next stage in their startup journey.

MAP is a critical part of MaGIC’s efforts to inspire a new wave of entrepreneurs—through this program we want to empower creativity and innovation, as well as foster the spirit of entrepreneurship for everyone involved.”
