If you haven’t fulfilled your yearly durian tradition, you will be excited to know that GrabFood will be serving up the King of Fruits again with GrabDurian.

Otherwise, you can still eat your fill in the comforts of your homes before the season is over.

Here are the durian goodies you can expect from GrabFood this season, plus a taste profile guide on which durian type to get:

What’s Special This Year

Customers can pick from 5 varieties of durian flesh — D13, Red Prawn, Mao Shan Wang, D24, Empire King (Black Gold) — and get them delivered daily from 2PM. Previously, only Mao Shan Wang was available on the app.

Every day, the durians are freshly dehusked and sealed at its Pahang farms. These individually packed durians are then transported in temperature-controlled trucks and sent directly to the GrabFood Fulfilment Centres or Hubs.

Furthermore, the durian supply is replenished daily so consumers will be ordering same-day freshly harvested durians.

Each dehusked durian packet comes with around 400g of flesh. Prices vary for different durian types, starting from $24.

Besides Spike Empire, fruit stalls Heavenly Guo and 1321 Fruits are also offering the popular durian varieties from Mao Shan Wang to D24. You can find them on both GrabFood and GrabMart.

Besides fresh, whole durians, foodies can now also order an array of durian-infused offerings.

Think Mao Shang Wang durian ice cream macarons from Four Seasons Durians, durian gelato from Spike Empire, mini puffs from Sunlife Durian Pastries, durian sago pudding from Ah Chew Desserts and Mao Shan Wang ice cream pints from Udders and more.

There is even a taste profile guide for those who can’t decide which type of durian to get. For example, for those who like a blend of bitter and sweet, the Mao Shan Wang offers the best of both worlds.
