An Insider’s Guide: Lazada Employees Tell Us How To Score The Best Deals During 11.11 Sale

11.11 is back with a vengeance on Lazada, and it’s brewing up to be the e-commerce site’s biggest one-day sale of 2020, with Korean superstar Lee Min Ho fronting the campaign this year.

Pre-sales have already started running since 1 November. Shoppers can enjoy early-bird prices by placing non-refundable deposits until 10 November to lock down their prices before the actual sale starts.

With all the deals and offers in-store, the options shoppers have are overwhelming. From Slash It deals to surprise boxes, Lazada is pulling out all the stops for 11.11.

This year, a slew of new brands have come onboard Lazada, along with a range of shops participating in 11.11 for the very first time.

We’ve spotted over 29 new partners, including Nike, Isetan, Aesop, Marks and Spencer, Instant Pot, as well as an array of F&B brands.

If you are excited to shop online, here are some of the best insider tips and tricks to clinching the best deals on Singapore’s largest online shopping day.

Keep A Close Eye On The Prices

From now until 10 November, you can invite your friends to slash prices for you to as low as 50 per cent off, or even S$0!

On the last day of the Slash It deals (10 Nov), the Dyson Cool Tower Fan (retail price S$499) is available at only $299 with 40 slashes.

“We created two price guarantees for customers on 11.11 to make sure that they can avoid the hassle of comparing prices — the lowest prices on our site are the lowest prices everywhere,” a Lazada insider explained.

Shoppers will be able to assess which products offer the best value for money with special tags that Lazada attaches to its listings.

The first is Lowest Price, denoted by product listings with an “11.11” label. This means that the product is being sold at the lowest price offered by the seller within the past 60 days.

Another tag is the Best Price Guarantee, which is denoted by product listings with an “11.11” and “LazMall” label. This tag means that the product is being sold at its lowest price.

But what if Lazada got it wrong, and shoppers find a cheaper item elsewhere? No problem, our Lazada insider assured us.

Lazada has promised to top up the difference if their customers find the same product offered for a lower price by the same seller on a competitor site.

Vouchers Are Your Best Friend

The best way for shoppers to prepare for 11.11 is to start browsing on Lazada and adding products to their carts now.

Lazada will be holding a two-hour storewide flash sale on 11 November from 12am to 2am. Over 300 stores — including Dyson, Apple and Samsung — will be participating in the sale, offering up to 90 per cent discounts.

The key to more savings is to collect Lazada vouchers

“There are a ton of vouchers to be collected, ranging from seller, bank, and Lazada vouchers.”

“Vouchers are stackable and for maximum savings, they should be applied in the following order: seller, Lazada, then bank vouchers,” he added.

There are 11 million vouchers up for grabs on Lazada, which are redeemable via a host of shoppertainment platforms. This includes online games and activities like Surprise Egg, Daily Check In, playing LazGames or earning coins.

This year, Lazada will be launching a password reveal across select Mediacorp radio stations, where DJs will drop “passwords” that can be used to redeem vouchers on Lazada between 5 and 10 November.

The GUESS IT game show in the Lazada app also has over S$5,000 worth of vouchers up for grabs on 10 November from 7 to 8.30pm, and 10 to 11.30 pm.

Another game, Happy Bounce, can also be used to win vouchers worth up to S$11 with no minimum spend storewide until 11 November.

LazCoins can also be used to redeem vouchers and free gifts, with a S$1 voucher redeemable for every 100 coins.

If you are looking for some food deals, check out the Llaollao, Krispy Kreme, I Love Taimei and Baskin Robbins stores on Lazada this 11.11.

Shoppers will be able to engage in an offline-to-online activation to scan their QR codes at the partners’ physical stores to earn vouchers.

These vouchers can be used to offset their purchases via the F&B brand’s Lazada stores. If you scan three QR codes, you will receive a S$12 storewide voucher.

It is no secret that certain deals are hard to snag, especially on popular sale days like 11.11.

”We have seen surprise boxes disappear within seven seconds once they go live,” remarked the Lazada insider.

“We have customers who add to cart, and strategically check-out at midnight on the day of sale.”

The key to get the most bang for your buck is to strategise your purchasing habits prior to the big day itself.

“Start browsing and adding to your cart now,” the Lazada insider urges.

“Shoppers can be sure there will be discounts for products marked with the “11.11” label. When it strikes midnight, immediately check out with your vouchers!”
