S'pore Custom PC Manufacturer Dreamcore Launches First Mechanical Keyboard - Retails For $129

Monitor brand SuperSolid is well known for their gaming displays, and it seems that they are quickly venturing into new territories.

Launched by Singapore PC startup Dreamcore, the monitor brand just released their first mechanical keyboard, the DREAMTYPE 001 (DT-001).

The DT-001 is built upon a tenkeyless layout, and is dubbed as the “perfect essential mechanical keyboard for everyone”.

Here’s why it is different from the many mechanical keyboards on the market.

An Affordable Yet High Quality Typing Experience

There are many mechanical keyboards in the market today, but most are either too expensive or of poor quality.

We’ve gone back to the drawing board to create a mechanical keyboard offering that incorporates the best features from today’s technology while removing unnecessary costs, resulting in a brilliant mechanical keyboard that provides a well balanced, affordable and most importantly, high quality typing experience.

– Eugene Lim, co-founder of SuperSolid

Indeed, it features what SuperSolid calls a ZeroWarp steel plate, which leads to a pleasant heft while providing a stable and reliable typing surface.

It comes in a compact, tenkeyless 87 key layout, with a detachable USB Type C braided cable, making it ultra portable for working or gaming on the go.

Customisable Switches

All DREAMTYPE 001 Mechanical Keyboards come preloaded with premium Kailh BOX Switches in either white, brown or red as standard.

The switches are clicky, tactile, and linear switches respectively.

All the switches are hot swappable, which means that users can purchase any of Kailh’s large selection of switches and still be able to use the DT-001 platform.

If you outgrow a particular type of switch, simply replace the switches with the new colour of your choice without having to purchase another keyboard altogether.

This offers a nice bit of flexibility and means you won’t have to bust the bank each time you want a change.

The DT-001 comes with proprietary sandblasted charcoal black, double shot Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) keycaps that elevate the tactile feel of each key.

For those who are into visuals, the LED light shines through each cap, illuminating the keyboard.

More Bang For Your Buck

The keyboard was designed with advanced customisable features not found in boards within the same price range.

It aims to deliver all the core essentials in an affordable package, from its typing experience to its durability and customisability.

So if you are looking for a wallet-friendly, not-super-fancy mechanical keyboard that does all it needs to, this could be one.

You can purchase the Supersolid DREAMTYPE 001 Mechanical Keyboard on the Dreamcore Official Store on Lazada for S$129.
