The pandemic hasn’t been kind to the hotel industry ever since the MCO started in 2020. They became quarantine centres for returning locals and some promoted WFH packages to stay operational.
Now for Valentine’s Day, some are taking this opportunity to promote intimate packages where guests can enjoy their services for a night or two.
With that, we’ve compiled a list of hotels around Malaysia that are currently offering Valentine’s Day packages over the weekend, subject to availability. This list is non-exhaustive and covers ones that we could find enough information about.
Bear in mind that the SOP for travelling within a 10km radius is still in place. Hence, you should only take advantage of these staycations if you fall within that range.
Klang Valley
1. Aloft, Kuala Lumpur Sentral, KL
For the whole month of February, Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is offering an Intimate Night under the Stars in their Breezy Suite. It’s inclusive of one glamping style dinner in your room, a bottle of champagne, and complimentary breakfast for 2.
There’s also their Valentine’s Set Menu, available in three or four-courses. You can enjoy this at home by ordering their Duo Of Salmon, Shrimp Bisque, or Braised Beef Brisket.
Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance and delivery is free for those within a 10km radius from Aloft.

2. Berjaya Hotels & Resorts, Berjaya Times Square, KL
For a Valentine’s Day weekend getaway, Berjaya Hotels & Resorts has a Timeless Treasure Package that includes a BBQ set dinner by the poolside for 2.
They will also provide a complimentary welcome drink, access to the minibar, and a hygiene kit when you check in.
As the hotel has a 24-hour flexible stay, you can check in anytime and check-out after 24 hours. This offer is available until June 30, 2021.
Price: RM135 per couple (promo price), otherwise, it’s RM260.

3. Element, KL
Element Kuala Lumpur is delivering a 4-course menu for 2 that’s easily assembled at home.
Orders for their Valentine’s Day Dinner takeaway or delivery sets are open from now until 3PM on February 14. Deliveries will take place from 4PM onwards after the order cut-off time.

4. Four Points by Sheraton Puchong, Selangor
To make Valentine’s Day a memorable one, Four Points by Sheraton Puchong is offering a stay plus in-room breakfast and dinner. The package will be available between February 12-14.
Here, couples can enjoy an in-room 4-course dinner and breakfast for the next morning. You will also be entitled to mocktails and a butler service for this deal.

5. Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, KL
Throughout February, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur is providing overnight accommodations to couples.
Their Valentine’s Day packages provide couples a night in their guest rooms or suites. Guests will be served a 3-course in-room dinner and cocktails from the hotel’s Bar Trigona.
This dinner is part of their Love @ First Bite package that includes a rose and box of pralines. The deal is also available for deliveries. Additionally, they’re selling gift boxes that feature floral bouquets, delectable pralines, and wellness products.

6. Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, KL
From February 12-15, Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur is delivering their 4-course Valentine’s Day gourmet set to your homes. They are currently accepting pre-orders for their fine dining menu.
Additionally, the hotel is also offering a one-night stay in their Premier Room with breakfast for 2, in collaboration with 50Gram.

7. Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel, PJ
Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel is offering a Valentine’s Day Afternoon Tea for 2 that’s available for deliveries or takeaways. This package is only available until February 14 and deliveries will be dispatched from 3PM to 6PM that same day.
You’ll also have the option to add on a bottle of G.H Mumm Grand Cordon with your order and it’s inclusive of 2 Champagne flutes.
Price: RM140 per couple and RM380 if you add on champagne.

8. The Westin Kuala Lumpur, KL
To help make February 14 stand out, The Westin Kuala Lumpur has a 3-course set menu available for deliveries and takeaways.
Much like Sheraton, you can choose to add on a bottle of Westin’s house red or white wine to enjoy with your dinner.

Johor
9. KSL, Johor Bahru
As dine-ins are now allowed under the MCO 2.0, KSL Hotel & Resort is offering a four-course set menu from their Infusion Cafe from February 11-15.
In an interview with NST, the hotel’s senior restaurant manager Asri Katniwhere said that couples will also be entitled to a free one-night stay for 2 in their Superior Room.

10. GBW Hotel, Johor Bahru
GBW Hotel is offering guests their Valentine’s Day Cupid Love Package. The deal includes a complimentary night stay from February 14-15 in their decorated Executive Suite.
The offer comprises a meal of Norwegian Pistachio Crusted Salmon or Chicken Cordon Bleu. Followed by tiramisu for dessert, the meal will be served in-room with table decoration.

11. Suasana All Suites Hotel, Johor Bahru
Favoured for its Romantic Dinner package, Suasana Suites is now promoting its Suite Valentine for the season.
The promotion offers a one-night suite from February 13-14. It also comes with a 4-course dinner for 2. Guests can choose from their range of main course and dessert items.
The hotel will also be allowing guests to wine and dine in a private room where they can enjoy over 60 channels of movies.

12. Hatten Hotel Melaka
At Hatten Hotel Melaka, their Stay & Dine package for Valentine’s Day includes a room in their 1-bedroom Hatten Suite. There, they’ll be served in-room dining for the hotel’s Western cuisine.
Guests will also be entitled to breakfast the next morning with this deal that’s only available until February 13.

Sabah
13. Stanton Hotel, Kota Kinabalu
At Kota Kinabalu’s Stanton Hotel, couples can dine in one of their hotel rooms through their Valentine’s Special package. ⠀
The deal entails a one-night stay in the hotel’s Superior Queen Room, dinner for 2 pax, and a bottle of house wine available from February 12-14.
