Yan Kee Noodle House along Circular Road, most famous for its dry bak chor mee sua, is yet another F&B company that has been claimed by the onset of the pandemic. The eatery has been around since 2008.

The noodle shop, also known for its mushroom minced meat noodles and handmade fishball noodles, is a popular hangout eating place for clubbers due to it being close to party and drinking locations like Clarke Quay and is open 24/7.

Singapore’s nightlife scene has been almost non-existent since March last year, due to Covid-19 measures to curb the spread of the virus.

A search on GrabFood for the noodle store also revealed that the store was closed. The store has 4.2 stars ranking on GrabFood.

8days had visited the shop’s premises, but it was shuttered. The store’s Facebook Page however, still lists it as open for business.

A spokesperson told 8days that the eatery has ceased operations at their Circular Road noodle joint, but did not provide more details.

According to a customer who spoke to the eatery last month, the shop representative said it has closed its original location but it may reopen somewhere else when Covid-19 settles.

Yan Kee Noodle House is a go-to choice for the CBD office crowd during lunch breaks. That’s due to its reasonably priced food options, with noodles costing around $3 to $5 a bowl.

It has appeared on many food blogs like uncoverasia, timeout, danielfooddiary, and oo-foodielicious.com.

The eatery initially operated from a single stall at coffee shop BK Eating House across the road. It moved to the store on Circular Road in 2018.
