Hurray! Now you can send gifs on the Facebook Messenger app without installing third party apps!
Earlier this year at Facebook’s F8 Developer Conference, Facebook revealed the Messenger Platform — a tool that allows users to hold conversations by choosing from various third-party apps. Giphy and a few exclusive apps were selected to integrate directly with Facebook Messenger.
By default, Facebook shows the trending GIFs from Giphy and GIF for Messenger. If you want access to a larger collections of GIFs, you can still install the respective apps from the App Store or Google Play.
