So for those of you who might’ve missed it last time, we’re re-introducing some of the sexiest businesses that are currently still hiring into 2018 in Malaysia.

1. Google Malaysia

Between a snazzy office, a good work culture brought in from its parent company is Silicon Valley and a chance to work in the darling of the internet age, there’s a lot to like when working with Google Malaysia.

While most of the heavy coding of websites isn’t done here, Google Malaysia nevertheless remains popular among Malaysians seeking a chance to soak up some of that Silicon Valley magic.

2. Media Prima Sdn Bhd

Media Prima has been named one of the best companies to work for in Asia this year by HR Asia, as voted for by employees.

And any new employee joining has the exposure to some of Malaysia’s most well-known media brands: the tv networks, radio stations, publications and not to mention their digital streaming service Tonton.

Even though Media Prima is a multinational company, it has a young and vibrant team tackling new, digital-based challenges in what they’ve characterised as a “fast-paced startup environment”.

3. Shell Business Operations

First of all, you can still tell you traditional parents that you work in a legitimate, well-known organisation. All the while, you get the good stuff from “millennial” workplaces too like flexible work hours, a casual dress code and a Generation Y-trapping office filled with foosball and games.

Time is a fixed-like telecommunications provider that boasts a loud and fun-loving workplace for those that thrive in a fast-paced work environment. It practices a very lateral hierarchy. And they definitely believe in working hard, playing hard.

5. Samsung Malaysia

Samsung is still hiring in Malaysia, and so if big scale MNCs are your thing. Samsung is a corporation that pays attention to staff development, which translates to a stable career path.

It also offers a challenging but energetic workforce focused on tech. And you might learn Korean to boot.

6. Procter & Gamble

One of the better-known parent brand names, you might be familiar with some of their fares from home: Downy, Dynamo, Oral-B, Olay, and more.

And they’re still hiring.

The company boasts a robust hiring process and a dynamic work environment. The workplace practices independence, while still offering a co-dependent environment in the company. P&G is looking for employees who are up for a challenge.

7. Astro

The other media company that holds a strong fort in Malaysian media, Astro is more than its satellite TV services, though that does take up a good chunk of its attention.

Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad has a digital arm focused in publishing entertainment & lifestyle magazines, apps, platforms, radio channels, etc. Their work culture is vibrant and energetic, believing that good work will be rewarded accordingly.

Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad is one of the biggest entertainment names in Malaysia. Their main service consists of 185 TV channels and is the country’s first non-subscription based satellite TV, offering 30 TV and 20 radio channels.

Their digital arm is involved in digital publishing, applications, and platforms as well as the publication of entertainment and lifestyle magazines locally. They’re known to practice a vibrant and energetic office culture and their philosophy is that good performance is always rewarded accordingly.

8. Hermo

Standing as one of the most well-known e-commerce platforms in Malaysia, Hermo are looking for employees who are dynamic, young, open-minded and hungry to succeed.

An interest in makeup and beauty might help you too. In return, they plan to offer comprehensive training and support to new hires, and avoid confusion by providing a clear understanding of their company’s business priorities.
