8 Seafood Delivery Services In M’sia, For Those Who Have No Time To Visit The Market

Growing up, my father loved to drive down to the fishing villages of Kuala Selangor and bring back a delicious bounty of seafood every time.

But not all of us have the time to drive all the way to a fishing community (or local fish market, for that matter) to get fresh fish.

So it’s great to know that there is an abundance of seafood delivery services available in Malaysia. Here are just some that we caught in our net.

1. Art Of Salmo

Specialising in fjord trout flown in from Norway, Art Of Salmo not only delivers pre-filleted salmon but also seasoning sachets so that you have everything you need to cook up your next fishy meal.

Among your choices are 2 fillets (or around 300g) of salmon for RM42.90, or 6 fillets (around 900g) for RM124.90.

They deliver every day from 12 PM to 6 PM for KL and Selangor, or Tuesday to Friday for Penang and Johor Bahru. Orders placed after 6 PM will only be sent to you on the next business day.

You can also pick up your order from them directly at The Hub, SS2.

2. Fish Club

From Johor Bahru, we have Fish Club, whose founders’ roots can be traced back to generations of fishermen and fishmongers from the little town of Pontian.

By relying on smaller boats and thus shorter fishing trips, their catches don’t stay out long before they are processed and blast frozen to lock in the freshness.

You can find an offering of wild-caught seafood from snappers (RM69.99 to RM39.99 based weight) to 1kg packs of Ikan Bilis (RM10.90).

They currently do overnight deliveries to all the major cities in Malaysia such as Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor Bahru, and Penang.

3. Fish For It

From the straits of Melaka to you, Fish For It delivers wild-caught fish and shellfish from its landing base at Sungai Besar.

Prices for their offerings range from RM8.00 for a 500g pack of sardines, to RM230 seafood BBQ sets for 7 pax that include:

Their seafood is processed, vacuum packed and flash frozen, ready to be delivered to most areas in the Klang Valley within 48 hours.

4. Fresh Seafood Malaysia

Fresh Seafood Malaysia was founded by SH Chong, a man with 21 years of experience in the aquaculture business.

They deliver from Tuesday to Friday with a cut-off time of 12 PM for orders. These orders are delivered on the next business day after spending time in a freezer warehouse for sorting.

Their coverage area includes Georgetown, Ipoh, Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan, and Johor Bahru.

5. MyFishman

MyFishman was established by Audrey Goo in 2016, who grew up in a small village in Kuala Selangor along with his father, a local fishmonger.

For example, their set 1 box includes white prawns (800g), a Chinese pomfret (450g), green mussels (200g), scallop (500g), and xian bao pian (300g) for RM278.

They can deliver to most of Malaysia within 3 business days.

8. Seafood Malaysia

Managed by aquaculture farmers, equipment suppliers, and fishermen from all over Malaysia, Seafood Malaysia offers both imported seafood, seafood products, and seafood sourced from various local fisheries.

Here, you’ll have access to multiple suppliers each with their own seafood and aquaculture offerings at their respective prices.

They even sell fishing equipment (like fishing reels and fish finders) and pet supplies (like fish food and aquarium pumps).

They cater to both businesses and consumers, delivering to most areas in KL, Selangor, Melaka, and Negeri Sembilan as well as select areas in Johor and Perak.

As the saying goes, “Teach a man to fish, and you’ve fed them for a lifetime.” But who really has time for that in these modern times?

By listing out these delivery services, I hope I have “taught a man to order fish” instead.
