The Link, a new bridge in Sunway that opened to the public on June 2, is aimed to improve connectivity and complements the three empires of its parent corporation, Sunway Group. This includes its subsidiary tourist attractions such as Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Pyramid Hotel, and Sunway Resorts.

Sunway Malls & Theme Parks’ chief executive officer, HC Chan, stated in a press release, “The Link provides greater connectivity, that in return creates a synergy that gives more options for our visitors.”

“They can be dining in new restaurants, enjoy some fun in the sun in Sunway Lagoon or go for fine-dining at our five-star resort hotel. We welcome everyone from near to far to visit The Link and enjoy all the latest great offerings that Sunway City has to offer.”

The Link can be accessed via various points from Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Pyramid Hotel, Sunway Resort as well as a side entrance from Sunway Lagoon.

The best of a mall’s dining in one zone

The Link serves as a retail and dining zone that aims to provide shoppers with even more memorable experiences.

Beginning with the well-known and esteemed restaurant franchises Ding Tai Fung and Haidilao, the stretch is lined with additional popular eateries.

Included in the line-up are Memorie Cafe, Nanyang Cafe, Tonkatsu by Ma Maison, The Owls Cafe, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes, The Resort Cafe, and the Grand Imperial Restaurant.

The Chamber is also available for whisky enthusiasts to unwind at, while a new branch of Sports Direct is added to the list to cater to fitness junkies.

According to the organisation, the space measures approximately 80,000 square feet and was designed to provide a large area for its shoppers to relax, recuperate, and simply have a good time.

A million-dollar view

This strategic location offers a view that will definitely appeal to cityscape enthusiasts, embracing lush greenery, lakes, the ever-popular Sunway Lagoon, and the well-planned town of Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, as seen from the restaurants surrounding the stretch.

Diners and shoppers at The Link could expect to enjoy a designated landing area with a floor-to-ceiling view dubbed “A Million Dollar View” by its creators.

The board of directors of Sunway Pyramid anticipated that the reopening of international borders would result in an increase in the number of tourist visits. “We certainly are looking forward to seeing more international guests at our hotel or theme parks or the mall,” stated HC Chan during the launch.

The Link marks the group’s latest effort toward becoming among Malaysia’s largest mall owner-operators. Currently, its existing projects and those in the pipeline now stand at 7.7 million sq ft. net leasable area (NLA), and it plans to increase that figure to 10.2 million sq ft. NLA in the near future.
