“warm, mildly spicy aroma”
The English name for this spice is rooted in the term “amomon” or “qinnamon” the Arabic and Hebraic word for “fragrant spice plant.”
Cinnamon is thought to be one of the world’s oldest and most valuable spices.
Since the time of Ancient Egyptians and for thousands of years afterward, it has continued to be used, even becoming a staple in Traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine.
Cinnamon Essential Oil is known to diminish feelings of depression, faintness, and exhaustion, stimulate the libido and strengthen immunity.
In Feng Shui, Cinnamon is an excellent enhancement for wealth & prosperity – helps remove one’s fears and doubts in relationship to their basic human needs.
Cautions: Dilute well before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes and mucous membranes should be avoided. This has phototoxic properties and exposure to the sun must be avoided after application to the skin.
1. Home & Office – Diffusing
Add 8-12 drops of Eucalyptus to a diffuser.
When diffused throughout the home or other indoor environments, its scent freshens and deodorizes while emitting its characteristic warm, uplifting, and relaxing fragrance that is known to have a therapeutic grounding and soothing effect.
Cinnamon Essential Oil can be diffused to address lethargy, irritability, unhealthy cravings, and a tendency to overindulge when eating, as it is reputed to facilitate the sensation of being full. Furthermore, it is known to relieve symptoms of colds, severe coughs, and sneezing.
2. Topical Use
Diluted with dedaun+co. carrier oil and used topically in general, Cinnamon Essential Oil is reputed to calm dry skin and to effectively alleviate aches, pains, and stiffness experienced in the muscles and joints and in the digestive system.
Its antibacterial properties make it ideal for use in addressing acne, rashes, and infections. Its anti-oxidant properties help to slow the look of aging.
