During the tabling of Budget 2022 which was conducted on October 29, 2021, the ePemula initiative was introduced in order to lighten the financial burden of Malaysian youths and encourage cashless spending at physical stores.

With the initiative now in full effect, Malaysian citizens aged 18 to 20, as well as those studying in higher education facilities such as colleges and universities, will be able to claim the RM150 ePemula credit from BigPay.

Do note though that the ePemula credit can only be used for purchases at brick-and-mortar stores, and not online e-commerce platforms.

Having said all that, what exactly are the benefits of claiming the credit from BigPay?

On top of getting the RM150 credit, users that claim the ePemula on BigPay will be eligible for discount vouchers for airasia Academy, flight tickets, food deliveries and Zalora shopping vouchers.

By using your BigPay account to purchase products from participating partners like Sephora, Lululemon, and JD Sports which can be found via the affiliate links found within the BigPay app, you will be eligible for unlimited cashback with every transaction.

New users that sign up using the promo code “PCEPEMULA” can stand a chance to win one of three iPhone 13 weekly until April 31, 2022. Those who didn’t manage to win a smartphone will still be eligible to be one of the twenty lucky winners to win 5,000 airasia rewards points.

Using BigPay for purchases, you can also earn up to 6x airasia reward points, which can be used to claim various discounts on airasia rides, shopping vouchers, and services from participating providers.

On top of that, you can use the points to claim free flight tickets to over 150 international airasia destinations.

All BigPay users will be given a physical BigPay card that functions much like a debit card, which can be used to make purchases at both online and physical stores. You can easily freeze and unfreeze the card without needing to call the bank, useful if you end up misplacing your card.

Other than that, the BigPay app comes with a few additional features like the ability to track your monthly expenditure, the ability to split your bill payments with your friends and family, as well as attractive exchange rates when making international purchases while travelling.

Plus, there’s BigPay Personal Loans that lets you choose how much you need and how long you need the funds for, and transfers the funds to your BigPay account.

How do you claim the RM150 ePemula credit on BigPay?

All you need to do is download the BigPay app on either Google Play store or the Apple App Store.
