The Enhanced Touch ‘n Go (TnG) card with NFC-enabled reloads has been so high in demand yet hard to get.

Malaysians who are still monitoring when the Touch ‘n Go eWallet (TnG eWallet) app releases its new round of orders might be pleased to know that you now have a shot at getting one of these cards sooner.

For those who are currently in the market for a new phone, this will be an even sweeter deal.

Meet the HONOR 70 in Icelandic Frost

Since its 2020 independence from being a subbrand of Huawei, HONOR is determined to become a global brand. In Malaysia, HONOR is doing so via its HONOR 70 phone in Icelandic Frost, which has a familiar colourway that’s reminiscent of the Enhanced TnG card with NFC.

Featuring the hues of Iceland’s blue, pink, and yellow aurora lights, the phone’s glass back that’s scratch and fingerprint-proof is said to shine beautifully.

The release of the HONOR 70 in Icelandic Frost marks HONOR Malaysia’s first partnership with a local brand. Through it, those who purchase the HONOR 70 in Icelandic Frost will also receive a newly designed Enhanced TnG card with NFC in the bundle.

‘Tis the season for gifting

Besides the Enhanced TnG card with NFC and the TnG RFID tag, the HONOR 70 in Icelandic Frost will come with an extensive gift pack too.

It includes a protective casing with a card holder, and an HONOR Band 6 with a one-year extended warranty.

It’s worth noting that the RM1,999 price tag on the Icelandic Frost edition remains the same as the HONOR 70 phones released back in August 2022.

Highlights of the HONOR 70

Of course, the Enhanced TNG card with NFC alone might not be a convincing reason to make the purchase, as the phone’s specs would still matter. So, here are some highlights about the HONOR 70.

Where the HONOR 70 phone is supposed to shine is in its cameras, which have been praised by consumers as one of the best smartphone cameras within the RM2,000 range.

HONOR stated this is the first phone to have cameras equipped with a SONY IMX800 sensor, which helps the HONOR 70 capture more light, resulting in brighter, and more detailed pictures in low-light scenarios.

To elaborate, backlight is one of the main culprits that sacrifice good photos in low-light situations.

HONOR 70 should be able to even out these strong light sources coming from the back, while making sure that light sources that should be highlighted, are highlighted.

The device has a triple-camera setup at the rear, consisting of a 50MP IMX800 main camera, a 50MP 122° ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it comes with a 32MP selfie camera.

Besides its cameras, the HONOR 70 features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ processor with 5G and it comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

With a 4,800mAh battery, it supports 66W fast charging via USB-C. HONOR claims the phone can be charged from 0% to to 60% in just 20 minutes.

Running on Android 12 with Magic UI 6.1, many will be pleased to know that the HONOR 70 does support Google Mobile Services with access to the Google Play Store.
