Have you been naughty or nice?

This two-year-old website can tell whether you’ve been naughty or nice based on your Twitter feed. The website, ‘Social Santa’, tracks the number of curse words you’ve used and calculates a score that determines if you’re on the Santa’s Naughty or Nice list. Here’s how it works:

Once you’ve signed in with Twitter, our magical digital elves will use their tech wizardry to look back through the last thousand or so tweets you’ve posted. Yep, even the embarrassing ones and the drunken late night rants about reality TV shows.

We’ll check all of your tweets to see how many times, if any, you’ve used *naughty* words. A score will be calculated based on the frequency of your obscene language outbursts, which will determine whether or not you’re set to be on Santa’s nice list, or his naughty one.

According to Santa’s morals and principles, these top 5 contenders are 100% naughty. Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle’s Wikipedia entry reads that he is: “well known for his pessimistic and often controversial sense of humour.”

With a total of 212 swear words used, he stands at — no surprise — the top spot for Santa’s Naughty List. Bringing in the rest of the Top 5 Celeb Naughty List are Rihanna, reality TV series Geordie Shore’s Gary Beadle, Miley Cyrus and rapper JME.

Rounding up Santa’s Top 5 Celeb Nice List are ex-BFFs Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift, English footballer Wayne Rooney, boy band One Direction and US President Barack Obama.

Just like you, I have no idea what swear word Obama tweeted out. (This is going to bug me a lot more than it should.) I Googled for quite a bit of time, but to no avail. I did, however, come across a profanity-loaded audio book recorded by the president himself.

I Gave Social Santa A Go

For someone who’s not much of a potty mouth, I’m curious to see where I stand. I thought I would surely be in Santa’s good books, but oh boy, how wrong I was. I completely forgot that I have the tendency to tweet quotes — even the ones with curse words.

Here’s what my result reads: “Congratulations! You only swore a total number of 4 times in the tweets that were analysed. Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas!” And apparently, I have 10% of niceness in me.

If you’d like a distraction from the chaos of Christmas preparation, head on down to this link!
