You might have seen her on television a couple of times, but in fact, Jade has been a Singapore Mediacorp artiste since 2006. In the past few years, her energetic and amicable personality has made her the go-to personality for acting, hosting, and even DJ gigs!

Nowadays, apart from preparing for her wedding coming up in a few weeks’ time (keep updated here), Jade is also sharing a lot of her ‘How To’ tips via her YouTube channel — Jade Seah Official. Her series titled ‘ChicPeek‘ runs every week, with Jade sharing her personal fashion tips, DIYs, and much more.

I really admire how Jade makes sure she replies to almost every comment she gets, be it on her YouTube channel, her website, or Dayre account. This speaks volumes about the intentions of her communication channels — to forge meaningful relationships and learn from her audience as they learn from her.

Today, we at Vulcan Post are privileged to be able to take a sneak peek into the homescreen of Jade Seah, and hear about the apps she uses.

1. RunKeeper

“I used to use a proper GPS watch to track my distance and route, but I found myself too lazy to download any information after each run — I don’t think I downloaded or saved anything the entire time I had the watch!

The watch finally conked out on me and my running buddy introduced me to RunKeeper. I haven’t looked back since — it’s fuss-free, easy to use and does what I need it to do — track distance and time. That I can save and remember each run with comments and by uploading a photo is a fun bonus!”

2. Instagram and other social media apps (Facebook, Dayre, Snapchat)

“These apps help me stay connected with friends, especially when I am overseas or it’s a busy period and we don’t have time to meet. I actually had to be persuaded to get an Instagram account and to make an effort to upload things, but once I got into the swing of things, it’s now my favourite social app. It’s less ‘messy’ than Facebook and more fun than Twitter!

I use Dayre to share more personal, long-winded musings. Follow me @jadeseah.”

3. Google Keep

“I think this is my favourite app! It’s so simple but so essential, especially great if you have trouble remembering things (as I do!). I put everything and anything into Keep. Because it’s a Google app, it’s wonderfully seamless when phones get lost (or smashed!) as they do a lot with me…

The checklists are great if you, like me, are task-oriented (it’s satisfying to check off boxes when things get done!) and the blank pages are great for making quick notes of random things. I check this a little obsessively sometimes to make sure I’m on top of things!”

4. YouTube

“Since starting my own YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/jadeseahofficial) I use this to stay on top of things like replying to comments. I like chatting with people who watch my videos to hear what they think!

YouTube is also my go-to source for answers – I search “how to…” whenever I have a problem!”

When asked if she has a life motto, Jade shared soulfully that whenever she has a moment where she feels down and/or sorry for herself, she would put herself back into perspective when she think of Anne Frank’s

“Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.”

Thank you Jade, for sharing with us so candidly about the apps you use. Google Keep is definitely a keeper!

For those curious about Jade’s upcoming wedding, or wish to know more about her, you may sneak up on her updates @jadeseah on Twitter, Instagram, Dayre, or her website www.jadeseah.com.

Till then, have a smashing awesome wedding Jade!
