The month of September is bound to get techno geeks and smartphone enthusiasts excited!
After all the speculations of how the iPhone 6 would look like and when it’s going to be launched, it’s official and it’s happening – Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 6 would be launched on 9 September! As always, Apple is flirting with everyone by dropping clues to what is happening on that day. The invitation to Apple’s Big Event only says “Wish we could say more”, and the graphic shows a minimalist slice of Apple logo against a white background. What does this mean? Mark your calendars; we’ll find out on the 9th of September.
And in case you haven’t heard, Vulcan Post will be there as well, so do follow us on twitter @vulcanpost to get live updates of the event!
As for the availability in Singapore, we got word from Hardware Zone that the iPhone 6 would arrive on the 19th of September. Believe it or not, this piece of information came from reliable sources that predicted the local launch dates of the iPhone 4S/5/5S/5C, the Samsung Galaxy SIII/4/5 and Galaxy Note II/3 correctly. And, they have been spot-on so far.
If we could just take a step back last year, the iPhone 5C and 5S hit the retail stores on September 20 – just days after the launch on 10 September. Based on Apple’s history, Apple enthusiasts wouldn’t have to wait too long before they are able to get their hands on one of the highly anticipated smart phones of the year!
As for the other rumoured products to be announced on 9th September, there are speculations that the rumoured iWatch will only hit markets in 2015. According to BGR, Apple is hitting some manufacturing snags, which is delaying mass production of Apple’s new wearable. But if tradition favours us, the company’s new operating system, iOS 8, would hopefully be available by September 10. We can’t wait!
On the other hand, Samsung will announce the Galaxy Note 4 at its Unpacked event 3 September in Berlin. Dear September, you’re sure to get this party started!
